TALENT IS EQUALLY DISTRIBUTED
Opportunity is not
DC youth and young adults of color are vital to the growth of a vibrant, inclusive, regional economy.
CityWorks DC is committed to ensuring our young people have the opportunities, experiences, and connections they need to succeed.
CityWorks DC seeks to dramatically improve early career outcomes for DC youth and young adults of color. We do this by launching innovative programs and mobilizing employers, educators, and city leaders to create a strong, diverse talent pipeline.
What We Do
Empower Young People
We help young people, gain paid, relevant work experience, earn industry-valued credentials, and build the social capital needed to secure meaningful careers.
Drive Economic Growth
We create programs that support family-sustaining careers, build personal wealth, and strengthen DC’s workforce.
Lead Systemic Change
We collaborate with citywide partners - government agencies, schools, non-profit organizations, businesses, and philanthropy - to design and implement initiatives that ensure lasting improvements to education and training systems.
